Inclusion of Vanadium Redox Flow batteries (VRFB) for flexible storage of PV in residential properties and companies with own energy production. VRFB Grid balancing in areas with high voltage fluctuations in power supply.


Abstract

Visblue ApS, in cooperation with University of Aarhus and University of Porto, has developed a unique Redox Flow battery with long durability and the most favorable electricity storage price per kilowatt, compared to other products. We are interested in contact and dialogue with any larger contractor and collaborator who seeks storage solutions to renewable energy or grid balancing projects, and who will assume the task as project owners in major SC projects. Any serious inquiry is welcome.


Description of Projectidea

This is an open request to any interested entrepreneur or project owner who intends to include energy storage into his project or business model. We see Visblue as a supplier / junior partner in any project where solar and wind storage solutions are included. It remained within building renovation, smart-cities, zero-energy buildings, network balancing etc.

Areas where we see Visblue as a potential partner in SC projects:

- Demonstrating innovative nature-based solutions in cities
- Upgrading buildings energy performance
- Increase resource efficiency in resource intensive production processes
- Systemic eco-innovative approaches for the circular economy
- Grid-balancing/Improving flexibility to the energy system
- Preparing for pre-commercial procurement in generel (PCP)


Consortium of partners, already involved

Visblue ApS is involved in several ongoing development and demonstration projects. Current Partners involved in non-SC Visblue projects are: REAL DANIA, Copenhagen Fund: Zero-energy residential property "Bolig +". Visblue supplied and operates the VRFB plant that stores power from the property‘s PV system; ENIIG, among Denmark‘s largest energy companies, together with Visblue ApS and the Danish Energy and Climate Ministries, has launched a network balancing project where Visblue‘s VRFB battery reduces voltage fluctuations in the power supply; VESTAS, HARVARD UNIVERSITY, TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF DENMARK and UNIVERSITY OF AARHUS. The purpose in this project is to further develop and reduce the price of Redox Flow technology. Visblue ApS has already achieved significant results in this area, which is a causative reason why the company is considered as an interesting partner even for the major players in the energy development
