The self funded Connemara Programme has since 2012 been engaged in documenting the social, economic, cultural, heritage, historical, natural and environmental resources of the 2000 sq km and 50 communities of Connemara on the west coast of Ireland. The areas of Programme expertise are: Socio economic research, deep data gathering, data categorization and normalization, database and map design, attitude and behavioral study and analysis, technology uptake and use in rural environments, Techno-business cycles in Rural economies, Telecommunications and Transport resources and impact, population dynamics, socio economic coping mechanisms, community group structures, governance and dynamics by state, semi state, council and local entities, Inter group relationships, conflict and issue management, skills and skill set maintenance, business and economic development.
